Floor application for wedi building board

In order to guarantee the full scope of the advantages of wedi building board, even when used on wooden substrates, the following conditions must be observed: The substrate must be rigid (non-vibrating or resilient), load-bearing, dry, free of dirt and harmful contamination. Any unevenness must be corrected.

1. Simply spread modified thinset mortar over a clean wood subfloor using a 1/4" x 1/4" notch trowel provided the subfloor is even and loadbearing.
2. Apply the Building Board by laying the boards into the mortar. Stagger all board joints.
3. Fasten with wedi fasteners. Use wedi tabless washers and wood screws.
4. Tape all joints with wedi fiberglass mesh tape in dry areas or wedi Waterproof Sealing Tape or wedi 610 Adhesive Sealant in wet areas. Fastener locations should be waterproofed too using wedi Joint Sealant. Begin tiling!
